December is John Legend’s birthday month and to honor his God given and inspiring talent through staging his songs.
Zimbabwe’s World Choir Games 2018 representatives and silver medallists, Note2etoN Concert Choir (pronounced Note to Note), shall be performing at Old Mutual Theatre, Alliance Française de Harare tonight Saturday 8 December 2018.
Titled Legendary they are going to feature a selection of John Legend Classics which the choir shall perform with the support of guest singer and guitarist Dave Machaka, their very own Director and renowned classical pianist Sabelo Nyoni and second puanist Tawanda P Zhanda with Herbert Finch on Saxophone as well as Zicky and the Roots.
Note2etoN has established itself as a power-house on the local and regional music scene since its inception in 2016 becoming a trendsetter for other choral groups. Their incredible upbeat attitude and positive energy combine to make them one of the most sought after choirs locally.
The NOTE2ETON LEGENDARY CONCERT shall be the choirs’ last official performance in a year that has been action packed. In 2018 alone they had over 15 performances, with highlights being HIFA 2018, a tour of Bulawayo and a performance at the Zimbabwe Music Academy.
They were also part of the Harare International School Jazz festival and their Reps Theatre concert.
Note2etoN have also carried the Zimbabwean flag high by representing Zimbabwe at the World Choir Games 2018 in Tshwane South Africa bringing home two silver medals.
They performed at the The India in the Sunshine City Festival and were the official anthem singers at the Turkish National Day 2018 before Ambassador Hakan Kivanc and other dignitaries.
The LEGENDARY concert is a preview of their 2019 program which shall see them touring nationally and regionally.
