Ronald Nyandoro is accused of stealing a car, and a provincial court in Harare is scheduled to rule on his case tomorrow.

During the trial, Ronald Nyandoro, accompanied by attorney Mr. Admire Rubaya, entered a not guilty plea, claiming that James Landon, the complainant, had given him the car in exchange for services.

Mr. Kirk West, the State’s first witness, stated in court that he thought Landon was punishing him for disclosing information about the car purchase. West accused Landon of exploiting the criminal justice system, claiming he had already lost two cars to the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) as a result of purported flaws in their documentation.

Under cross-examination, the second witness, Mr. Lance Malloch Brown, stated that he had no knowledge of any transactions between Landon and Nyandoro. He asserted that he was unaware of any arrangement between the two and that he was unsure of the owner of the original registration book.

The claims that Nyandoro was given the Toyota Land Cruiser AET 3438 to utilize and subsequently give back to Landon were refuted. He claimed that there was no trust arrangement and that Landon had given him the car in exchange for consulting services during the argument that resulted in Landon’s arrest with another businessman, Adam Woodington.

Nyandoro stated that he worked as a consultant for Landon, helping him out with different tasks. He added that he got the duplicate registration book from Landon in 2023 and that he became the owner of the car in November 2022 as payment for his aircraft consultation costs.
