The Ambassador of Palestine Dr Tamer Almassri has strongly criticized Israel’s recent actions in the West Bank, describing them as deliberate and harsh measures that are crippling the daily lives of Palestinians.
These actions include the installation of 16 new iron gates, bringing the total number of checkpoints to 898. These barriers restrict movement, fragment communities, and disrupt daily activities, creating significant hardship for Palestinian residents.
This increase in restrictions is seen as part of a broader strategy to deny Palestinians their rights. According to Palestinian officials, these measures are a calculated move by Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to distract from domestic political troubles and bolster his shaky coalition government.

In Jenin, a city in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces have carried out a deadly military campaign, targeting refugee camps with heavy artillery, airstrikes, and drones.
This assault has left 10 Palestinians dead, injured 40 others, and caused severe damage to infrastructure, including roads near the Ibn Sina Hospital. Critics argue that these actions serve to tighten Israel’s control over Palestinian territories, further deepening the divide and erasing hopes for peace.
Palestinian leaders have accused Israel of using these aggressive tactics as a smokescreen to divert attention from its recent operations in Gaza. They say the ongoing violence reflects a wider goal of consolidating Israel’s occupation of Palestinian lands while imposing a system of segregation and control.
The Palestinian Ambassador has called for urgent international intervention, urging nations worldwide to condemn Israel’s actions. The Ambassador stressed the need for accountability, demanding sanctions against Israel for what they describe as violations of international law and crimes against humanity.
Amid these challenges, the Palestinian people remain firm in their pursuit of freedom. Despite mounting obstacles, they vow to continue their struggle for self-determination and the establishment of an independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
Palestinian officials emphasize that silence from the global community will only embolden further aggression. They insist that meaningful action is essential to bring justice, protect human rights, and pave the way for a lasting resolution to the conflict.
