The Embassy of the State of Palestine has expressed deep outrage over the escalating Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, which have intensified with the use of new, highly destructive bombs.
Over the past ten days, these attacks have resulted in the deaths of at least 1,042 Palestinians, including 322 children. The embassy decried these strikes as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, accusing Israel of demonstrating a disregard for human life and committing war crimes against the Palestinian population.
In addition to airstrikes, Israeli ground forces have expanded their operations, seizing more territory in northern Gaza and displacing thousands of residents.
The ongoing blockade, imposed by Israel on March 2, has exacerbated an already dire humanitarian crisis, cutting off access to essential supplies such as food, water, fuel, and medicine.
Gaza now faces the looming threat of famine, with all 25 bakeries operated by the World Food Programme (WFP) shutting down due to supply shortages. The prolonged siege, now in its 31st day, marks one of the most severe humanitarian crises in modern history.

Ambassador Tamer Almassri condemned the continued destruction in Gaza, which has left homes, hospitals, and schools in ruins.
He also denounced the targeting of medical personnel, including members of the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), describing their deaths and disappearances as a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
The targeting of healthcare workers, he stressed, constitutes a war crime and demands urgent investigation.
The Palestinian leadership is calling for independent enquiries into these violations and urges the international community to hold those responsible accountable.
The continued targeting of Gaza’s healthcare system, the destruction of civilian infrastructure, and the forced displacement of Palestinians, the embassy warned, are part of a systematic attempt to dismantle critical services and erase Palestinian presence.
Beyond Gaza, Israeli military actions have also persisted in the West Bank, with aggression in Tulkarm, Jenin, and the Nur Shams camp continuing for weeks.
Military checkpoints, home demolitions, and the conversion of civilian properties into military outposts have severely restricted movement and deepened the humanitarian crisis in these areas. In total, 996 homes have been demolished, while 2,573 others have been partially destroyed in refugee camps, further displacing thousands.
The Palestinian government has strongly criticised the international community’s silence, arguing that the lack of intervention has emboldened Israel’s actions. This inaction, the statement emphasised, undermines global efforts toward justice, human rights, and international law.
Palestine is calling for urgent global intervention to end the occupation, lift the blockade, and halt the military assaults. The embassy reaffirmed its demand for the recognition of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, emphasising that lasting peace and justice can only be achieved through the establishment of Palestinian sovereignty.
