Job Description: The role of the Part-Time Driver Mobiliser is to stimulate demand for VMMC clinical services and facilitate the transportation of program personnel and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transport Index testers and VMMC service delivery teams to scheduled points.
  • Provide transportation for VMMC clients between their homes and service delivery points.
  • Offer first aid to clients, especially during adverse events management.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics Officer for the transportation of program equipment.
  • Review clients’ eligibility and ensure signed consent for VMMC services before transportation.
  • Assist in setting up service delivery facilities, such as pitching tents and arranging equipment.
  • Conduct community and group VMMC sensitization sessions for demand generation.
  • Collaborate with community leadership for opportunities to convey VMMC messages.
  • Distribute and display demand generation IEC materials in communities.
  • Advise the Provincial Manager on upcoming vehicle service needs.
  • Request and ensure timely vehicle servicing, reporting on roadworthiness.
  • Perform daily checks for cleanliness and roadworthiness of project vehicles.
  • Undertake regular refueling and check oil, water, and tire conditions.
  • Appropriately account for fuel usage following PSH guidelines.
  • Collect and verify monthly reports, invoices, and CIR forms from service delivery sites.
  • Verify and assist in preparing and reporting daily and weekly statistics for the supported team.
  • Report data inconsistencies and notable disparities in MOHCC activities to the Field Services Coordinator.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 3 Ordinary levels.
  • Possession of a Class 4 Driver’s License.
  • Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
  • Defensive Driver’s License.
  • Demand generation experience is an added advantage.
  • Hardworking and effective communicator at all levels.
