President Mnangagwa has urged the youth to respect their parents and cultivate qualities such as honesty, professionalism, humility, and hard work in their endeavors – both domestically and on the international stage.
Speaking at the National Youth Day celebrations at Mushagashe Training Centre in Masvingo yesterday, the President emphasized that the youth must reciprocate the support demonstrated by the attendance of parents and elders at the event by displaying utmost respect and gratitude towards them.
He encouraged young people to embrace qualities that will not only contribute to their personal growth but also elevate the nation’s reputation on the global stage.
“Our parents have been our pillars of strength, and it is our duty as the youth of Zimbabwe to honor them by showing respect and appreciation for their unwavering support.

“The youth of Zimbabwe must be known for honesty, professionalism, and hard work as these values will serve as the foundation for your success in any field you choose.
“By upholding these qualities, you will become ambassadors of our nation’s potential and values.
“Do not hesitate to approach the youth desks within our Ministries. They are here to guide and empower you in your endeavors as the youth,” said President Mnangagwa.
He encouraged the youth to take advantage of various programs and initiatives in the country aimed at empowering and supporting young people.
The President also reiterated the Government’s commitment to creating an environment conducive to youth development, stating that the youth are the backbone of the country’s future.
This year’s celebrations were held under the theme “Positioning Youth Empowerment and Development Towards Vision 2030.”
