A devastating case of alleged rape has surfaced in Dzivaresekwa Extension, where a man was arrested for repeatedly raping a Grade 7 pupil who was entrusted to care for his blind aunt. According to Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, Harare provincial police spokesperson, the accused had gained the trust of the teenager’s mother by requesting her daughter’s help in caring for his blind aunt overnight.

However, the accused exploited this trust in the most heinous way, taking the teenager to his bedroom and raping her three times without protection. He further threatened to stab her with a knife and kill her if she screamed or told anyone about the abuse.
Raping Teenager Man Arrested
This horrific abuse continued for an extended period until January 2024, with the accused preying on the teenager’s vulnerability and trust. It was only when the victim confided in the blind aunt about the physical pain she was experiencing that the truth finally came to light. The accused was promptly arrested, and the minor was referred to Parirenyatwa Hospital for a comprehensive medical examination.
