Zim dancehall artist, Ras Pompy, has vehemently denied allegations of dating a 36-year-old woman, who is reportedly his mother’s friend.
The claims surfaced in a recent court case involving Wesley Eroyi Shoniwa, who alleged that Ras Pompy was in a romantic relationship with his mother.
Through his lawyer, Dumisani Mthombeni, Ras Pompy dismissed the claims as false and defamatory. He stated that he has never befriended Wesley and that the allegations were made by someone who is not authentic.
Ras Pompy’s lawyer emphasized that the artist considers the woman in question as a mother figure, as she works with his mother. He also highlighted that he has suffered reputational damage and financial losses due to the false allegations, including the loss of an endorsement deal.
