The Digitalize Zimbabwe initiative was officially launched in Karoi town, Mashonaland West, at an exciting event attended by Minister Mavetera and local residents.
The highlight of the event was a performance by young artist Simangaliso Mutize, who brought cultural entertainment to the gathering.
Simangaliso, a talented player of the mbira and singer, captured the audience with her heartfelt music. She sang songs that emphasized the importance of Digitalize Zimbabwe.

Her strong voice and skilled mbira playing created a lively atmosphere that deeply moved everyone present. Her songs carried messages of progress and modernization, blending cultural heritage with current issues.
To explain the initiative’s goals, she spoke about how digitalizing Zimbabwe could improve education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. She made sure everyone understood how digital technology could transform life for Zimbabweans. Her talk showed how important it is to bring digital tools to Zimbabwe.
After Simangaliso’s performance, Honorable Chombo, Mavetera, and Ziki gave her a gift of money. This was to thank her for her work and for supporting the “Masasai Kuvanhu” project. It fits with Digitalize Zimbabwe’s goals.
