The visit aimed to raise awareness among young learners about the dangers of addiction and its consequences on individuals and society.
Accompanied by their English teacher, Mr. Prince Masvaure, the students listened attentively as inmates shared powerful and emotional testimonies about their struggles with substance abuse and the resulting life challenges.
These candid accounts highlighted how addiction can lead to imprisonment, broken families, and lost opportunities.

Medical doctor Dr. Rutendo Mudzamiri was also present, offering expert explanations on the physical and psychological toll of drug abuse.
She engaged with both inmates and students, providing counseling support to inmates and answering questions to deepen the learners’ understanding of the health risks involved.
The visit was part of a broader educational effort to inform youth about the long-term consequences of drug use and encourage responsible choices.
Many students left the prisons visibly affected by the stories, expressing a renewed commitment to avoid harmful substances and prioritize their health and future.
This initiative underscores the critical role of experiential learning in combating drug abuse and fostering a safer, healthier community.
