Developing Solutions Scholarship

The Developing Solutions Scholarship is aimed at international students from Africa, India, or selected Commonwealth nations who aspire to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Nottingham in the UK.

The program seeks applicants dedicated to contributing to the development of their home countries.

Eligible Programmes:
Full-time Master’s degrees (including MRes) beginning in October 2025. These programmes span a variety of disciplines within the following faculties:

  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences
  • Faculty of Science
  • Faculty of Social Science

Not specified

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be residents of Africa, India, or one of the eligible Commonwealth countries (see the list below).
  • Be classified as international students for tuition purposes.
  • Hold an offer to commence a full-time Master’s degree (or MRes) for the 2025/2026 academic year in an eligible faculty at the University of Nottingham.

Eligible Countries Include:
All African nations, along with Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Montserrat, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, St Helena, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

Scholarship Coverage:
The scholarship covers 50–100% of tuition fees.

How to Apply:
To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must first apply for and receive an offer for a full-time Master’s degree (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham. Applications for the scholarship can then be submitted through the NottinghamHub portal under the scholarships section.

The deadline for scholarship applications is Wednesday, 16 April 2025.
