Up Close and Personal with Tariro NeGitare

Afro soul musician Tariro NeGitare will this weekend take her Up Close & Personal sessions to Bulawayo and her debut show in Victoria Falls respectively making her first show in the province after her maiden appearance at the Intwasa Festival two years ago.
In a statement released by Hunnar Management Agency, Tariro said: “I am really excited to be back in Bulawayo. The first time I performed as a solo artiste was in July 2014, facilitated by Hunnar Agency, and the people of Bulawayo showed so much love to me. Later that year, I came back to perform at the Intwasa Arts Festival, it was such a memorable performance. I recently performed with my sisters – NOBUNTU in Harare, so Bulawayo holds a special place in my heart.”
Up Close and Personal gigs are expected to provide a rare opportunity to Tariro’s fans as they can interact with her and appreciate her creative process when she writes her music concurrently request their favorite songs by the artiste.
The artiste performs at Rainbow Towers Bulawayo this Friday and will proceed to Victoria Falls for her inaugural show in the resort town.
“I have never performed in Victoria Falls, this will be my first time. I have heard beautiful things about the town and am excited to get ‘up close and personal’ with my supporters and fans in Victoria Falls. The Up Close and Personal Sessions have been happening in Harare, and I am excited to be taking them out of the capital city to other places across Zimbabwe,” she said.
Tariro has grown as musician from backing others musicians like Edith WeUtonga, Diana Samkange and Cathy Mhlanga to sharing the stage with Jah Prayzah, Stellah Chiweshe, Oliver Mtukudzi among many other high profile musicians.
One of the major highlights of her career has been opening for the multi award winning South African accapella group Black Mambazo.
It is without doubt Tariro’s music career continues on an upward trend apart from touring German she has various collaborations with German bands Favo and Jamaram, South African Simphiwe Dana and Zahara.
