As the summer season swings into full throttle, a new bespoke party known as The Gathering has been unveiled. A spinoff of the upmarket flagship Unplugged concert series, The Gathering is a tailor-made pop up event that provides a summer beach cabana style aesthetic with an interpersonal butler service. The first of its series, the event was held this Sunday evening at the Padonhodzo venue in Harare under the Unplugged Zimbabwe banner.
Moving away from the mass market crowds, The Gathering gives that sought after alternative that serves to provide a relaxed, cozy ambiance for a limited number of patrons of up to one hundred guests aged mainly in their mid thirties to early fifties. Offering that mature sundowner with friends experience from 4pm to 10pm whilst enjoying select A-list DJs such as DJ Chiweddar, TK Beatz, DJ Rimo , DJ Fugee, with music playing at volumes that allow for normal voice tone conversations to be held.
“After turning 40 we wanted a place to just hang out with our friends and just relax without the hype and bustle that comes with curating big events” said co-event curator Chiedza Danha.
“Something cozy, in the late afternoon to evening before the week begins that allows us to dress up and be fabulous giving that summer vibe” revealed co-event curator Ellinah Mutandwa.
The friendly smiling staff from the security, the ushers and VIP butlers, the warm greetings, attention to detail, set the tone for a beautifully curated event. The quick service, generous portion sizes, tasty, mouth watering array of a variety of cuisines from Asian infusion to fast food and delectable meat platters provide for an authentic dining experience.
The Gathering is the perfect weekend wind down event catering for both the conservative and big spenders willing to splurge on luxurious premium alcohol. Unlike the concert or nite club style of entertainment, The Gathering serves to provide that calm, sit in with VIP experience, luxury cars, food, fashion and spotting an A- lister or few. The next time you are looking for a calm curated event be sure to be on the look out for The Gathering series of pop up parties. And remember to leave a good tip for the butlers serving you.
