The Milkmaid a Film Not to be Missed

Mambokadzi African Media and Entertainment Network Zimbabwe in association with Danono Media and PMO Global Nigeria have been premiering the movie ‘The Milkmaid’ at Ster Kinekor Cinema, Joina City in Harare from 6th November.

The feature film written, produced and directed by Desmond Ovbiagele brings goosebumps into one’s body as it takes the viewer on the cruel lifestyle of terrorists on their own families and allies.

The Milkmaid touches on one of Africa’s burning issues, set in rural sub-Saharan Africa, Aisha, a Fulani milkmaid, is searching for her younger sister, Zainab, bravely approaching the religious militants responsible for their separation risking forced marriage, rape or murder.

It is a not to be missed film which this writer predicts several awards.

Desmond Ovbiagele worked for over a
decade in investment banking before
exiting to pursue a passion for movie
production. He wrote, produced and co-
directed his debut feature film, Render to
Caesar, which was selected to screen in
official competition at FESPACO, Africa’s
largest film festival, in 2015, as well as at
the Pan African Film Festival in Los
Angeles. It also received awards for Best
Screenplay at the Nollywood Movies
Awards and Best of Nollywood (BON)
Awards respectively, in addition to the
award for Best International Feature Film
at the Nile Diaspora International Film
Festival in Kampala, Uganda.
The Milkmaid, is his second
feature film.
