The new Prince of Zim

By Showbiz Writer

Could 2 Kings Entertainment emerge as the new entertainment powerhouse in Zimbabwe?

The answer lies solely with the dear reader but if truth be told; the new boys are causing ripples if events on the ground are anything to go by.

Just a few weeks ago, the promoters held a highly successful gig at Belgravia Sports Club featuring South Africans Mafikizolo and KO and firebrands Zimbabwean Jah Prayzah and Winky D and will again go further by hosting the debut Zimbabwean tour for reggae royalty Morgan Heritage at the Harare International Conference Centre on October 8.

While these may be fetes in their own regard; the forthcoming gig is already showing signs that it will be oversubscribed with close to the 1000 of the 4000 tickets almost sold at least two weeks before the high profile gig,.

The performers will include Oliver Mtukudzi, Winky D and an immensely improved Freeman.
2 Kings Entertainment boss Dee Nosh told Showbiz they had just over 2000 advance tickets left.

“Our message to Zimbabwe is that get your tickets now! We put 3000 tickets and almost 1000 have been sold so far, so I advise you to get them while they are still cheap and available!” said Dee Nosh.

“We also have a VVIP seating area which takes just 320 people and the tickets are pegged at $50. It also comes with a VVIP Bar, entrance and parking area.”

He said tickets were selling at Coloursel Newlands, Westgate, Joina City Mattress Shop, Borrowdale Samsung Shop and Sopranos Avondale.

Morgan Heritage will perform on October 8 and spend at least a fortnight in the country.

That this is their debut show after a few false starts makes it all the more interesting.
