Overview:

The Axel Adler Scholarship is the primary scholarship initiative at the University of Gothenburg designed for fee-paying students pursuing eligible Master’s programs at the University.

Host Institution: University of Gothenburg, Sweden

Fields of Study: All full-time Master’s programs offered at the University, including the Bachelor’s program (limited to Software Engineering, International Relations, Business and Economics).

Number of Scholarships:

  • One scholarship per program.
  • Four scholarships for Master’s programs within the Fine, Applied, and Performing Arts, as well as programs in Music and Performance.
  • Two Axel Adler scholarships for Sustainability 2024 for students enrolled in a sustainability-focused study program.

Target Group: Citizens from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland

Scholarship Coverage: The scholarships cover the tuition fees for the program you are admitted to. It is a tuition fee waiver only, with no additional financial support provided for living expenses or travel grants.

Eligibility: To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Required to pay tuition in Sweden.
  • Apply for an international campus-based program at the University of Gothenburg as your first priority.
  • Applied and been admitted to a full-time Master program or Bachelor program (limited to Software Engineering, International Relations, Business and Economics) at the University of Gothenburg.
  • Eligible for the scholarship for the program that is your first priority at the University of Gothenburg on 15 January 2024, in the international admission round at www.universityadmission.se.
  • Submitted your application for studies by 15 January 2024, paid the application fee, and documented your eligibility for studies by 1 February 2024 through universityadmissions.se.

Application Process: To be considered for the scholarships, applicants must have applied for a Master’s Program via universityadmissions.se by 15 January 2024. Only those with a University of Gothenburg program as their first choice can apply for a scholarship. Eligible students will receive an email with application instructions around 8 February 2024.
