The State has finalized investigations into Neville Mutsvangwa’s charge of contravening the Postal and Telecommunications Act after he was found in possession of a Starlink internet router without a license a few months ago.
Prosecutor Rufaro Chonzi addressed a Harare magistrate, requesting that the State separate Mutsvangwa, who was jointly charged with two other accused persons when he initially appeared in court, to stand trial for the charge.

Mutsvangwa, through his lawyer, raised no objection to the application.
Chonzi handed Mutsvangwa the State papers, with trial proceedings set to commence in November this year.
Recently, Mutsvangwa and his co-accused applied to be released from further remand regarding the money laundering charges.

Also pending at the courts is the businessman’s application for a temporary release of his passport after indicating that he intends to go on a business trip.
The presiding magistrate said she will hand down the ruling concerning the two applications on 4 October.
