Tshabangu Graduates: Becomes Senator After Opposition Legislators Are Recalled
Self-styled interim secretary-general of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), Sengezo Tshabangu has secured a position in the Senate as one of the CCC Proportional Representatives.
This comes after several opposition legislators were recalled from their positions for failing to adhere to the party’s directives.
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) chairperson confirmed this development in a Government Gazette published on Friday.
Alongside Tshabangu’s appointment as a senator, the notice also announced the replacement of five CCC proportional representatives in the National Assembly.
