Former ZBC Newscaster Dave Emberton who was this morning reportedly caught  stealing bacon has reportedly been released after it was established that he had forgotten to pay.

Although details remain sketchy, it is understood Emberton was caught by security at Spar Letombo Tuesday morning.

Police said they had not yet received the details of the case.

Pictures circulated in the morning of a handcuffed Emberton siting on the floor.
