Warriors captain Marvelous Nakamba might not play in today’s Africa Cup of Nations match against Namibia because he has missed two training sessions.
The game will be held at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, starting at 6 PM.
Nakamba, who recently returned from an injury and played against Namibia on Thursday, watched the last training session from the sidelines. Instead of practicing on Saturday, he worked out in the gym.
Despite Nakamba’s absence, Warriors coach Michael Nees said in a press conference that all players are available for the match. He mentioned:
“We have two or three players with minor injuries, but that’s normal when you have two games in four days. We will check on them, but I’m confident everyone will be ready to play.”
The Warriors won 1-0 against Namibia on Thursday, thanks to a penalty by Khama Billiat. However, they struggled during the match, with Namibia having several chances to score.

Nees acknowledged that Namibia has strong attacking players who can be a threat. He noted that they have skilled players in the South African league, like Peter Shalulie, Dion Hotto, and Prins Tjiueza, who can create problems.
He stressed the need to stay alert against Namibia’s speed and believes the Warriors can also score.
Having just played Namibia, Nees feels his team understands their opponents better and knows how to win.
With many fans expected at the stadium, Nees hopes the crowd’s support will inspire the players as they aim for three important points.
