Apostle Talent Chiwenga, a Zimbabwean preacher known for his controversial sermons, has taken aim at Zimbabweans working as care workers in the United Kingdom.
In a recent address, he criticized the growing trend of Zimbabweans traveling abroad for better opportunities, suggesting that such work compromises their dignity and divine purpose.
Chiwenga expressed his disapproval, stating, “It is an error for us, the sons of God, to toil day and night, doing demeaning work so that others can enjoy their lives.”
He continued his critique, highlighting how some Zimbabweans care for elderly individuals in the UK while neglecting their own families back home. “You leave your own mother in Zimbabwe and go to clean and feed someone with dementia,” he said. “That same person you are caring for is on vacation while you work in their house, sending pictures back home to create the illusion that life is good.”

Apostle Chiwenga also called out what he described as misplaced priorities, emphasizing that some care workers are more focused on serving foreign employers than addressing the needs of their own families. “You do not even know how to care for your own mother, yet you are proud of cleaning and feeding an elderly woman abroad because of money,” he remarked.
