Highlanders defender Arthur Ndhlovu has come under scrutiny for the ‘tactical defending’ that he did in a match against Chicken Inn yesterday in Barboufields.
Arthur Ndhlovu is seen caressing Chicken Inn’s strikers buttocks during the match in what other social media users have termed tactical defending.
The video, which has gone viral, has had the Highlanders defender receive backlash from supporters, with some calling for immediate action against the defender.
Zimbabwe’s blogger, Makomborero Mutimukulu has shared his views on the incident. ”Arthur Ndlovu of Bosso pretends to be master of the dark arts. But there is no sophistication in his application,” he said.
“Even the blind can see his antics,” he continued. However, some supporters have come to the defenders rescue, arguing that what he did was right in football.
Recently in Europe, Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal experienced a similar incident of having his buttocks caressed by an opponent player.
He confronted the opponent, which resulted in him getting booked by the match official, highlighting that it is tactical to destroy your opponents.

At the Etihad, Sammie Szmodics gave the visitors a commanding lead, but Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne’s three goals in four minutes saw City rapidly restore order.
The Norwegian then scored his sixth Premier League hat-trick in only 68 outings with a late goal from outside the box.
With a maximum of six points from their first two games of their title defense, City is now atop the table following their victory.
There was a mood of celebration before kick-off as City marked their fourth consecutive league title and welcomed back former captain Ilkay Gundogan, who took his place on the bench.
