A video circulating on social media has captured widespread attention after vendors believed to be in New York streets, selling items like it is done in Africa.

The incident, which has quickly gone viral on social media has sparked concern.

In the  viral video, people who are believed to be of African origin are seen in the streets of New York were they have arranged the items that they are selling in an orderly manner.

The video resonates with many people here in Zimbabwe who are playing cat and mouse with the City Council. In Africa employment is very low especially in countries like Zimbabwe, hence the majority survives on vending.

What has surprised many is that even in America people are doing vending, especially in cities like New York.

I like you Mercy g art. I like your work. But here in Ireland we cannot house our own indigenous people, and African men are flooding the country on the promise of free handouts and a house, only to be given a sleeping bag and a cheap tent. My advice to your fellow Africans is don’t come here unless they are actually coming to a job and have enough money to sustain themselves and get set up.

Liyoka Sylvia :
If this chasing was in South Africa we were going to be called Xenophobic.

Dont bite me my son is still young
