Job Description
As an Accounting Officer at First Pack, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing monthly Bank Reconciliations for various accounts including Cabs, Nedbank, Posb, and Afc, with completion expected by the 5th of every month.
- Timely preparation and submission of auction bids.
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts by the 5th of each month.
- Reconciliation of cash ledgers, including petty cash, cash pool, and cash on hand.
- Daily capturing of cash requisitions.
- Participation in regular stock takes exercises.
- Capturing monthly branch expenses accurately.
- Acquittal of banks telegraphic transfers.
- Timely completion of fincon ledger periods by the close of each month.
- Computing and remitting various returns in compliance with regulations, including Vat, NSSA, PAYE, VAT SDL, ZIMDEF, NEC, QPD, and Withholding tax.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A degree in accounting or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, although candidates with less experience who demonstrate exceptional skills will also be considered.
