Will Jah Prayzah ever stop?

Will the young musician ever stop? Is probably the most apt question on many people’s minds.

Yet it seems he is not ready to slow down as he has flown across the oceans to France to shoot the video for one of his upcoming track Mdhara vachauya.

The musician is currently in Monaco, a fete very few African artistes have achieved save for a few Central African artistes who have been known for their extravagance.

Jah Prayzah is expected back in the country on Friday having departed on Sunday.

Speaking to Showbiz on Wednesday evening Jive Zimbabwe boss Benjie Nyandoro, who handles most of the artiste’s promotions said Jah Prayzah would return on Friday and head straight to Chivhu for a performance and another in Zvishavane on Saturday before taking off for another shoot the following day.

“Jah Prayzah will be heading to South Africa on Sunday for another shoot on Sunday for Tora mari video,” said Nyandoro.

“He will be joined by Tanzanian Diamond for the video that is being produced by Godfather.”

Nyandoro said they have been given specification by Multichoice to ensure that the videos that they produce will make it on their channels.

“We have been given a checklist by Multichoice so that the videos will be shot according to their specifications so as to guarantee airplay on their platforms. Godfather is one of the most renowned production houses in South Africa and they can get the job done.”

In case some have forgotten; this is the same artiste who has filled up the Harare International Conference Center more than once and has even brought a whole Vice President for one of the events.

Each release has hit a new pitch and he leaves every one of his fans on the edge wondering whether he has stretched his artistry to the limits.

What however will always satisfy their anxiety is his efforts; the amount of resources he puts into the work as well as the perfection which at least for now is next to none.

His previous videos and recordings have proven his worth; well, “almost a long time ago” and now only time will tell, after all August is just a few weeks away.
