Winky D, Gemma, Jah Prayzah Bring Home The Africa Entertainment Awards USA
The Africa Entertainment Awards (AEAUSA) has announced the 2023 awards. In this tough competition Zimbabwe’s own superstars Winky D, Gemma and Jah Prayzah each grabbed a gong.
Jah Prayzah is now the Best Male Artist – East/South/North Africa, for this category he raced against the likes of Diamond Platnumz and Focalistic.
The Best Female Artist – East/South/North Africa also came to Zimbabwe with Gemma Griffiths as the Winner.
Winky D who has already claimed his space in the international scene was the Best Reggae / Dancehall Artist
Across the border Zimbabwe based Mr Brown’s project with Makhadzi was picked for the Best Collaboration category.
Unfortunately for the Best Gospel Artist category Janet Manyowa , Mambo Dhuterere, Minister Mahendere were beaten to it by Deborah Lukalu.
On their website the awards organizers wrote, “Our Mission is to support, celebrate and uplift African Entertainment & Achievements in the Global arena. We use the entertainment awards ceremony as a platform, to unite all Africans including those In the Caribbean to showcase an Africa that is united, self-sufficient, willing, and able to evoke social change that matters most in the communities of Africans all over the world.”
