Tapiwa Makarawu has officially qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics by breaking the Zimbabwean 200m record in a remarkable performance.

Competing at the Corky Crofoot Meet in the USA, Makarawu clocked an incredible 19.93 seconds, surpassing the Olympic qualifying time of 20.16 seconds. His record-breaking run not only secures his spot at the Olympics but also positions him as a strong contender for a podium finish in Paris.

With his accomplishment, Makarawu has made a major contribution to Zimbabwean athletics and demonstrated the nation’s increasing ability on the global arena.
