Zim Warriors Left Without Kit After Buyer Acquires Wrong Size

Zifa

The newest gaffe has been revealed by the local sitcom Zifa Normalisation Committee, which has been in charge of football matters since last July.

The Page can disclose that the Warriors do not have a playing uniform one day before their pivotal World Cup 2026 qualifier against Lesotho.

Jairosi Tapera has been keeping a close eye on the Warriors’ training since they arrived in Johannesburg earlier this week. They do not, however, have a uniform since Marshall Gore’s, Solomon Mudege’s preferred candidate for Zifa president, bought one that was criticized for being too small and appropriate only for youth football. Zifa was forced to search frantically for a replacement kit, which was still unfound this morning.

The kit, a necessary piece of gear for every football squad, was given to Kudzi Chitima, a rookie. Chitima was unable to complete this important duty since he appears to be obsessed with his black shades, which he wears indoors.

The issue has gotten so bad that Clemence Matawu, the team manager, is currently traveling to Johannesburg after being kicked off the squad by Chitima and Yvonne Manwa. Regretfully, it could already be too late to undo the mayhem that Simba Gochera, the temporary squad manager, unleashed.

Rose Mugadza voiced her disapproval of Matawu, a capable young team manager, who had been neglected. Because of her persistence, Matawu was added to the team that left for South Africa.

Mugadza demonstrated his support by declining to go to Johannesburg until Matawu was included in the team. To make sure Matawu would be there for the qualifiers, she even forfeited her own seat on the airline.

Mugadza has made an effort, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions. For no other reason than that Chitima doesn’t like Matawu’s professionalism, how can the FA fire a capable team manager and replace him with Gochera, who is clearly less qualified? Moreover, why was Gore, an ordinary enthusiast attempting to make a difference, given such a crucial role?
