Solomon Siziba, 67, a former member of the Zimbabwe National Army and a major general (retired), has died.
His passing was confirmed by the Army Public Relations department this morning at Harare’s Josiah Magama Tongogara Barracks Camp Hospital.
It was announced in a statement by Tichafa Mungofa, Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, that Major General (Retired) Siziba has been fighting cancer for a long time.

Major General-Solomon Siziba
The Zimbabwe National Army has confirmed the loss of Major General (Retired) Solomon Siziba at Josiah Magama Tongogara Barracks Camp Hospital in Harare early this morning.
The news has been met with profound sorrow, according to the statement.
There will be a memorial service at 572 Bulawayo Drive, Killarney, Bulawayo, where friends and family will be assembling.
Information on the funeral will be announced at a later date.
