Castle National Braai Festival: Lives Up to Expectation
The Castle National Braai Festival was larger and more expertly planned than in previous years. The beverage selling stations, VIP seating, braai areas, and stage arrangement were all well placed.
Ensuring that the performers did not go over their allotted time, the MCs took charge. For this occasion, the principal performers were equally ready.
Electric performances by Tammy Moyo, DJ Naida, and Enzo Ishall—who was decked up as a biker—wowed the audience. Dhadza D, the master of dancehall and reggae, thrilled the crowd by performing his classic classics as well as some brand-new ones that were instantly accepted.
He introduced Ba Shupi and they sang a duet of their brand-new songs as the cherry on top. On a scale of 1 to 2, it’s possible that Dhadza D made an impression that the festival organizers will find difficult to ignore, and they will definitely extend another invitation to him for events in the future.
The gathering of around 20,000 people excitedly awaited their favorite and missing Winky D. Some were observed purchasing Winky D tickets as late as 10 p.m. Wearing a Captain Hook-inspired pirate outfit, he gave a great performance.
The organizers of the festival deserve praise for making sure that neither the crowd’s preferred Delta drinks nor the meat were running low.
