Chivayo’s Benevolence Gains Momentum as Faramats Motors Delivers Ambulances

FARAMATS MOTORS, has been praised for its role in streng Zimbabwe’s healthcare system after successfully facilitating the delivery of state-of-the-art ambulances aimed at improving emergency medical response across the country.

The development comes as President Emmerson Mnangagwa received a fleet of 10 advanced ambulances at State House, donated by businessman Wicknell Chivayo.

The vehicles, equipped with modern medical technology, are expected to significantly enhance the country’s emergency healthcare services and improve patient transport efficiency.

Faramats Motors played a key logistical and coordination role in ensuring the timely delivery of the ambulances, a contribution widely viewed as a strong example of private sector participation in national development initiatives.

The latest donation forms part of a broader effort to support Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 agenda, which seeks to transform the country into an upper-middle-income economy through improved service delivery and infrastructure development, including in the health sector.

President Mnangagwa has consistently encouraged collaboration between government and the private sector, noting that sustainable development requires shared responsibility and commitment.

Speaking on the initiative, stakeholders highlighted that the ambulances will be deployed across Zimbabwe’s 10 provincial hospitals, with the Ministry of Health and Child Care overseeing distribution based on areas of greatest need.

Faramats Motors’ involvement has been particularly commended for ensuring efficiency in delivery and reinforcing the role of local enterprise in supporting national priorities.
