Global superstar Tina Turner dies at 83. The queen of rock ‘n’ roll passed away in Switzerland.
The news of her death was announced today through a post on her Facebook page.
Born Anna Mae Bullock in 1939 in Tennessee, her songs like ‘What’s love got to do with it’, are still until today making a mark in the old and new generation. She sold over 100 million records which consist of 10 studio albums, two live albums, two soundtracks and five compilations.
She was a survivor of a horrendous abusive marriage to her former husband Ike Turner whom she was married to in the 60’s and later fled from him in the 70s.
Tina was the first black and female artist to make it on the cover of Rolling Stone.
She was famous for wearing mini skirts or dresses and a spiked hairstyle. Even in her late age she still looked very young and attractive. Condolence messages are pouring in globally. The queen of rock and roll’s music will live forever.
