Grimes Expresses Concern Over Son’s White House Appearance with Elon Musk

Canadian musician Grimes has voiced her unease after her former partner, Elon Musk, brought their son, X Æ A-Xii—commonly called X—to a White House press conference.

The event, featuring President Donald Trump, focused on Musk’s initiative to streamline the federal workforce through the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). However, attention quickly shifted when footage of the four-year-old interacting with Musk and Trump began circulating online.

Reacting to the viral videos, Grimes took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her concern. Responding to a fan who praised X’s behavior, she wrote, “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

Her reaction highlights her ongoing concerns about their child being thrust into the public spotlight. Since their separation in 2022, Grimes and Musk have been navigating complex co-parenting dynamics, occasionally clashing over their children’s exposure to the media.

This isn’t the first time young X has made headlines. In January, he unexpectedly joined Musk on stage at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., delighting the audience. At the time, Musk laughed off the interruption, saying, “Sorry, Little X followed me up here. He’s very excited to be part of this.”
