Inclusive Reporting Workshop Held

Media practitioners have been urged to be sensitive when reporting on Key Population issues at a workshop held in Harare.

The two-day training was highly attended, featuring not only seasoned journalists but also students from various tertiary institutions eager to learn about the complexities of reporting on LGBTI topics.

This collaboration highlights the growing recognition of the need for sensitivity and accuracy in media narratives, especially in a country where homosexuality is criminalized.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in meaningful discussions about the challenges faced by the LGBTI community in Zimbabwe.

Many shared personal stories that illustrated the impact of biased reporting and the importance of accurate representation. The atmosphere was one of solidarity, as journalists and community members alike expressed their commitment to fostering a more inclusive media environment.
