A dynamic and rapidly growing youth-led organization is seeking a Finance and Administration Officer to join our team. Working under the supervision of the Finance and Administration Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness of our financial reporting, control, and cash flow management processes.
Job Description:
The Finance and Administration Officer will work closely with the Executive Director and Program Manager to maintain high standards of financial management and administrative support. The primary responsibilities of this role include:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proposal development and donor reporting.
- Financial reporting and control.
- Budgeting and budget monitoring.
- Liquidity and cash flow management.
- Internal staff capacity building.
- Ensuring efficient and effective office administration.
- Collaborating with and supporting the Executive Director and Program Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting (Professional accounting qualification is an added advantage).
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting position in the NGO sector.
- Experience in developing financial administrative systems.
- Proficiency in reporting to donors.
- Ability and confidence to enforce financial policies and procedures.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel and Pastel accounting.
- Experience in managing and training other staff.
- Analytical skills and the ability to make strategic decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- High level of self-motivation.
- Honest and trustworthy.
