Gertrude Chuma, the ex- partner of MDC-T leader Douglas Mwonzora, has accused him of neglecting their nine-year-old son and demanded a monthly payment of US$1,500 for the child’s upkeep, as reported by NewsDay.

According to Chuma, Mwonzora insisted on their son attending a private school despite his failure to pay the school fees in full. Furthermore, she informed the court that Mwonzora has taken steps to block her from contacting him.
