With eight days left for the much anticipated international Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo to kick off.
This year celebrating Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo is celebrating 15 years. The Expo (formerly Zimbabwe International Travel Expo) was rebranded in 2008 & was initially hosted in Zimbabwe’s capital city Harare until it was moved to Bulawayo in 2015.
Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo has already started welcoming regional & international Buyers to Zimbabwe.
They are already undertaking pre- tours to various tourist destinations across the country ahead of Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo 2022. The Tours are aimed at familiarising the Buyers with Zimbabwe’s rich tourism products and services which they will use in promoting Zimbabwe & developing packages to increase tourist arrivals into Zimbabwe.
This year’s expo promises to be bigger and better since the covid-19 pandemic led to lockdowns.
Zimbabwe is also currently attending the 65th Meeting of UNWTO Regional Commission for Africa (CAF) and Forum on “Rebuilding Africa’s Tourism Resilence for Inclusive Socia-Economic Development ” in Tanzania.
The Zimbabwe delegation is being lead by the Permanent Secretary of Tourism, Amb. R.T Faranisi.
