Job Description:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively handle customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Critical thinking, organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities to carry out job duties efficiently.
  • Proficiency in digital technology, including internet usage and relevant software.
  • Capability to explain technical terms to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Decision-making skills to meet customer demands and expectations effectively.
  • Analytical skills for accurate job costing and invoicing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Service Advisor will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Scheduling vehicle appointments and creating job records.
  • Greeting customers and documenting their requirements.
  • Generating quotations and invoices for customers.
  • Addressing customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Detailing vehicle defects and preparing repair orders.
  • Utilizing brand knowledge to offer or explain available parts and service options to customers.
  • Fostering positive customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Ensuring all service details and associated costs are correctly documented on invoices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Auto Technology or Mechanical Technology preferred.
  • An associate degree in motor mechanics or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry is essential for this role.
