Upcoming Musician Craves Baba Harare Duet

Upcoming afro-fusion musician  Kelvin Mhizha known as Kevy wekwaMhizha said he craves for a duet with Baba Harare.

“I am obsessed with Jiti music, one day I wish to do a collaboration with Baba Harare.

“I like his creativity and melodious voice, we will definitely produce a good song that many people will love,” explained Kevy.

The Chitungwiza based artist released his debut album
earlier this year.

“I released my first album tittled “Super Super” this year, it comprises of 6 tracks, all gospel songs.

Just like any other upcoming artist Kevy is facing a plethora of problems.

“I am finding it difficult to secure live shows, when you are new in the business promoters are skeptical.

“You need financial assistance to make quality videos, I have two videos only due to financial constraints, it is important to have videos these days.

“Airplay is difficult at radio stations and exposure too”.
Kevy is the leader singer of Boom Boom soundz band, it consists of six band members, two females and four males.

He was inspired by Godfather of gospel music Baba Mechanic Manyeruke.

Towerlight shines in Thumelo’s tourney

Towerlight Football club was unstoppable in the Thumelo Foundation Heroes tournament.

The tourney was aimed to celebrate the gallants son and daughters who fought against colonialism

The tournament was won by Towerlight FC after edging Canaan 1 nil.

The Thumelo foundation foundaton also said they are in a serious drive against drug abuse in Highfield West

The Thumelo foundation is the brain child of socialite Thumelo.

The organizers say they have more tournaments which are lined up.

“We are going to sponsor other sporting disciplines such as volleyball ,netball and pool” said the Thumelo foundation manager Norman.

According to a benefactor of the tournament, his aim is to take Youths out of drugs and make sure they get empowered.

“Our aim is to eradicate drug abuse in our area and coming up with meaningful projects to empower the youths in our community, ” Thumelo said

The tournament attracted a very huge crowd in the high density suburb pooularly known as Fio.
