The Zimbabwean Prison and Correctional Services has dismmised a message circulating on social media that it is holding a special recruitment for people with Albanism.
The message states that the Prison Officers are recruiting males and females aged 18-30 years with Abanism. It states that the applicants must have five O Levels and must contact the ZPSC Chief Superintendent Marango and provided the number.
In response to this circulation ZPCS issued a statement through Assistant Commissioner Meya Khanyezi
National Public Relations Officer and the statement reads:
Fake Message Alert!!
It has come to our attention that a false and misleading message is circulating on WhatsApp, claiming that the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) is conducting a special recruitment for people living with albinism. This message is completely fabricated and fraudulent.
ZPCS would never engage in such discriminatory and unethical practices. We are committed to being an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion. All of our recruitment efforts are conducted through official, transparent channels.
We urge everyone to be cautious of unsolicited messages like this one, which are likely scams intended to mislead and take advantage of vulnerable individuals.

In a separate story President Mnangagwa left for Russia early this morning to attend the St Petersburg International Economic Forum at the weekend after attending the inaugural South Korea – Africa Summit that he described as a resounding success.
The President and his delegation comprising Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Dr Fredrick Shava and Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube was seen off at GIMPO International Airport by Zimbabwe Ambassador to South Korea, Ambassador Stewart Nyakotyo and South Korean Government officials.
