Recruitment Announcement: Join Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service as a Correctional Officer

The Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) has opened up opportunities for dedicated individuals to join its ranks as Correctional Officers. With vacancies emerging in the General Duties Section, the ZPCS is seeking committed Zimbabwean citizens to fulfill these crucial roles.

Requirements:

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Citizenship: Applicants must be Zimbabwean Citizens without any criminal record.
  2. Age: Candidates should be at least 18 years old and not have reached the age of 30 by April 2024.
  3. Education: A minimum of 5 Ordinary level passes, including English language at grade C or better, is required.
  4. Physical Fitness: Applicants must be physically and medically fit. They should be able to complete a stipulated road run within specified times.

Training and Benefits:

Successful applicants will undergo a basic recruit training program lasting up to six (6) months. In return for their service, the ZPCS offers a range of benefits including:

How to Apply:

Candidates who meet the selection criteria should submit their applications to the nearest ZPCS Provincial Headquarters for preliminary screening. Applications should include certified copies of academic certificates, birth certificate, and national registration identity card. The deadline for submissions is 08 March 2024.

  8. ZPCS Harare Metropolitan Province: Old Horse stable, cnr 4th and Kwame Nkrumah, HARARE
  9. ZPCS Mashonaland West Province: Old Chinese Complex, Opposite Gvt Hospital, CHINHOYI
