If there is an artiste that knows how to remain afloat, it has to be Dino Mudondo.
He may not be making news every day and may have last released chat topping hits a long time ago; but you still cannot ignore him.
Especially now with the advent or social media still see him somewhere more than enough times.
Whether it’s by default or by design, it is difficult to tell.
If it is not controversy then it is a change in genre.
Well this time, his idea is via the release of a new single titled Happy Bhavhaday and it is reggae.
Happy Bhavhaday was released last Friday.
The singer told Showbiz the track is a teaser off his all reggae forthcoming album due for release in November.
Produced at Maselo Studio the album would be named Rasta Loving and carries eight tracks namely Happy Bhavhaday, Manjenjenje, Fire fire, Musha wakanaka, Musombodhiya, Mwanangu, Mukadzi wemunhu and the bonus remix of Happy Bhavhaday featuring Jairos Hambahamba and produced at Harmony Studios.
“I know it’s been a long time coming but I’m now back to claim my right full place in the music game. My single is already making waves on all radio stations and social networks with my fans praising me for a heavy welcome back campaign and I have already started doing live shows in and around Harare while a country wide tour is the pipeline once the album is out,” said Dino.

“I’m shooting two videos for the Happy Bhavhaday track and another for Mwanangu as an answer to fans’ request for more videos. Rasta Loving is my best album so far because I think I have now truly found my home in 100% reggae music and I can only await what it will achieve for me as a reggae artiste.”
Mudondo has been in the industry for at least 14 years and has seen best of both worlds in terms of popularity.
Among his work are tracks like Maidei, Paidamoyo, Bhazi, Chirangano, Ndichakumirira, Makorokoto, Makoikoi, Handirambe ishe and Jatropha among others.
