In a groundbreaking move, reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios is scheduled to arrive in Zimbabwe on August 19, marking the first time a Miss Universe winner has visited the country. Palacios’ six-day tour is a collaborative effort between Miss Universe Zimbabwe organizers and the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, aimed at promoting cultural exchange and tourism.

The Nicaraguan beauty queen’s visit comes on the heels of Nicaragua’s recent establishment of an embassy in Harare, signaling strengthening ties between the two nations. Palacios, who made history as the first Nicaraguan to win the Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios title, will visit Victoria Falls and other tourist destinations during her stay, showcasing Zimbabwe’s natural beauty to a global audience.

Miss Universe Zimbabwe license holder Tendai Hunda expressed excitement about the visit, encouraging fans to welcome Palacios at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport. “This is a historic moment for Zimbabwe, and we are thrilled to host Miss Universe,” Hunda said. “We invite everyone to come and give her a warm welcome.”
