Sheynnis Palacios, Nicaragua’s reigning Miss Universe, arrived at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport on Monday, August 19, 2024, to begin her visit to promote Zimbabwe’s numerous tourism options.
The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority and Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry received her warmly together with Mrs. Minnie Chiwenga, Miss Universe Zimbabwe Sakhile Dube, her first and second princesses, and other different beauty pageant winners were also present to greet her.
Two vivacious dance troupes showcased Zimbabwean culture with lively performances of traditional dances to celebrate the arrival highlighting the rich cultural legacy of the nation They gave the greeting ceremony a distinctive touch.
“I am pleased to visit Zimbabwe and explore the beautiful tourist attractions as well as tasting the country’s gastronomy,” Palacios expressed, reflecting her enthusiasm for the visit.
During her visit, Palacios is going to participate in a number of key activities. One of the highlights is the official launching of a new borehole in Epworth, which is part of an initiative to provide clean water to the community.
Later that evening, a welcome dinner will be held so that dignitaries and stakeholders can meet and interact with Palacios.
Before leaving on August 24, Palacios will take a tour of Victoria Falls and other major tourist attractions. This tour is aimed to raise Zimbabwe’s profile on the world tourism map by highlighting the country’s numerous attractions.
Zimbabweans believe that Miss Universe Zimbabwe Sakhile Dube will receive vital insights from Palacios’ visit, which could help her win the Miss Universe crown in the future.
