Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios and Miss Universe Zimbabwe Sakhile Dube paid a special visit to Glenwood in Epworth, where they demonstrated their generosity and compassion. Miss Universe, the Nyaradzo Group, and Nakiso borehole drilling collaborated to donate two boreholes to the community.
Sheynnis Palacios and Sakhile Dube invited a group of kids to join them following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which honored the new water sources. Wearing white clothing, the two titleholders engaged in friendly conversation with the children, carrying and embracing them even though they were merrily covered in white dust from playing at the nearby fields.
Sheynnis fell in love with a four-year-old girl named Michelle among these kids and gave her sash as a heartfelt gesture, Sheynnis inspired Michelle to keep in mind the possibility of a bright future. She told Michelle, “This sash is a reminder of the belief I have in you that you are going to grow up to the young lady you dream to be, I encourage her to reach for the stars.”
Mrs. Chiwenga, who is well known for supporting children’s causes, gave Michelle a monetary gift in appreciation for her one of a kind experience. Her Excellency Nadeska Cuthbert, Nicaragua’s ambassador to Zimbabwe, was moved by the Epworth children’s excitement and the spirit of the event, adding to the significance of the occasion.
This special visit which is historical clearly showed Miss Universe’s unwavering commitment to improving children’s lives, demonstrating the power of generosity and community support.
They allowed the children to sample the clean water from the new source in an area where the community has been experiencing water shortages for many years. The mayor of Harare, His Worship Jacob Mafume, was there, as was Hazel Zisanhi, a representative of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority.
