Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) will host the Africa Cricket Association (ACA)’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Harare on Saturday, November 2.

This significant gathering will bring together leading cricket administrators, officials, and stakeholders from across the African continent to discuss strategies for advancing cricket’s growth and sustainability in Africa.

The agenda will cover topics such as game development, infrastructure investment, competitive opportunities, and promoting effective governance among member nations. “We look forward to welcoming delegates from across Africa to Zimbabwe and to having constructive discussions that will benefit African cricket at all levels,” said ZC Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani, who also serves as ACA’s Interim Vice-Chairman.

He highlighted the event as an important chance for Zimbabwe and the ACA to exchange ideas and enhance cooperation toward building a stronger and more inclusive cricket ecosystem in Africa.

Founded in 1997, the ACA currently represents 23 African nations and plays a crucial role in developing cricket across the continent. The association organizes tournaments and development programs to support young talent and promote the sport.

This year’s AGM is expected to establish a strategic roadmap for expanding cricket’s popularity and accessibility throughout Africa, laying the groundwork for a vibrant future. ACA Executive Director Cassim Suliman noted the importance of this year’s meeting, emphasizing, “As an election year, it will see the selection of new directors from the floor. Accountability and responsibility will be key themes,” he added.
