“Both the deceased Ndlovu and the suspect in the matter, Ncube, hail from village Rungu under Chief Malisa, Silobela. It is alleged that they had a misunderstanding over a girl, which escalated into a fight. Ncube allegedly drew a knife from his pocket and stabbed Ndlovu once in the neck. Ndlovu fell unconscious, and Ncube fled the scene,” explained Insp Mohoko.
Ndlovu was immediately rushed to Nkayi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon admission.
“We urge members of the public to always seek peaceful resolutions to disputes instead of resorting to violence. We also call on anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect, Nkosikhona Ncube, to come forward to any Police Station,” added Inspector Mohoko.
