Pastor Paseka Mb@ro is getting a lot of criticism after a video showed him threatening people with a cutlass while they were on his property.
The video, which has spread widely, shows him acting aggressively towards several people, including a young girl. He was with a big man who had a gun.
The South African public has largely reacted negatively to the pastor’s behavior, condemning his actions. Some commentators are confused, with one asking, “The videos are unclear is he holding them hostage or freeing them? What’s happening?” Others speculate that Mb@ro’s supporters might blame external forces for the situation, suggesting, “If he gets arrested, his supporters will likely blame Satan or those trying to bring him down.”

Mb@ro said he went to the school to get his grandchildren, claiming that after their mother died, the grandmother and school principal were blocking his son from seeing the kids. He accused them of trying to get money from him and showed a video of his son with facial injuries.
Matome Chiloane, the Gauteng MEC for Education, criticized Mb@ro’s actions and explained that there’s a custody dispute between the children’s families. The situation got worse when the school staff wouldn’t release the kids without the grandmother’s permission. Mb@ro’s armed guards and his actions caused a tense and upsetting situation.
The incident has been reported to the police, who are investigating the matter. Plans are being made to offer psycho-social support to the affected teachers and students to help them recover from the trauma caused by the events. Paseka
