How to Track Power Consumption with ZETDC Prepaid Meter Codes

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has introduced a useful set of prepaid meter short codes to assist customers in tracking and managing their electricity consumption more efficiently.

These short codes enable users to check real-time electricity usage, daily consumption, and previous day’s usage directly from their prepaid meters, using a few simple steps.

Check Your Meter Type First

Before using the codes, customers need to determine which prepaid meter model is installed in their home or business. The supported meter types include:

  • Landis & Gyr
  • Inhemetre
  • Hexing
  • Itron

Each brand uses different codes, which must be entered on the keypad followed by pressing the “Enter” button to display the requested data.
