The intervention of school authorities was necessary to put an end to the altercation. The incident occurred on September 17.
In response, the Ministry’s spokesperson, Taungana Ndoro, confirmed that the students have been temporarily excluded from school to facilitate the investigative process.
Ndoro assured concerned parents that every possible measure is being taken to ensure the safety of students within schools.
He emphasized that expulsion is not an immediate action taken without thorough investigations.
Furthermore, additional teams have been dispatched to the school premises to provide psychological support to other students affected by the incident.
The aim is to help them comprehend that such occurrences are uncommon within the school system.
Additionally, the Ministry intends to delve deeper into the case beyond the incident itself, considering external factors such as home environments to better understand the underlying causes.
During the ongoing investigations, the students involved will be permitted to write their exams from home. The Ministry maintains a stringent anti-bullying policy within educational institutions, which led to the abolition of corporal punishment.
